About The Event
On the first Thursday of each month, TMDC hosts their monthly club meetings at Kelcy's Restaurant Cafe in town. Social hour begins at 4:30 and the meeting begins at 6 pm. Each month we have different guest speakers, speaking on various issues from Veterans Rights, and local government, to discussing other issues on our ballot.
This month, we'll be having two more candidates for Region 10 Director speaking. Flor Olvera, rural-born and long-time community advocate and former President and current Corresponding Secretary of Democratic Women of Kern. She's running to ensure that Region 10 has an independent voice that uplifts local Democrats.
Elisa Rivera was raised in the labor movement, has lead campaigns to elect public officials and get bills passed and mobilized mutual aid efforts during the pandemic. She has lead democratic clubs, served on the Central Committee, mentored emerging organizers and is endorsed by Dolores Huerta.
