My name is Sydney O’Connor, and I am running for District 2 Supervisor to provide the bold leadership our community deserves. I have been a resident of Tehachapi since 1999. I have seen our district grow and witnessed the challenges that come with it. I am deeply invested in this mountain that I have the privilege to call my home.
My commitment to this district is personal and proven. As an in-home care provider, I work on the front lines of public health, protecting our rural seniors and neighbors living with disabilities. I see firsthand how failing public services and chronic short-staffing impact our most vulnerable residents.
Since 2018, I have served as a dedicated labor leader. My experience at the bargaining table has shown me that we must stop prioritizing bureaucracy over people. I am an organizer who will demand accountability for our taxpayer dollars, ensuring we reinvest in the frontline workers and essential services that are the backbone of this county. I am a viable candidate ready to lead from day one.
